We will be available to explain the classes and show you what you need. Sign up and pay for a class while you are here and receive 20% off your class fee! The winter months are a great time to settle in, get some sewing done and perhaps meet a new quilting friend.

Jo's Little Women' Club

If you’re a lover of reproduction fabrics and you love to make reproduction quilts…Jo Morton’s Little Women’s Club is for you. Beginning in January, we will meet the 3rd Thursday of each month 6:30-8:30 pm for six months. Our meetings include making small projects, door prizes, refreshments, show and tell, and some months, a guest instructor. The cost is $95.00 which includes 6 classes/meetings, at least 3 of Jo’s patterns exclusive to only Jo's club and a 25 fat quarter bundle of Jo’s fabrics to get you started!  Next session begins in Jan 2012.

A $20.00 deposit is required at time of sign up, balance due at first meeting.

Quiltport USA is Coming!

April 20-22, 2012

Join your friends for a weekend of quilters' indulgences at Quiltport USA. Sew in the company of fellow quilters, add to your stash shopping with the vendors, finish UFO's or start something new. You'll also find a mystery quilt, block drawings, beautiful hotel, demonstrations, "OPEN" sewing, outlet shopping door prizes and of course, show & tell. All this will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn, Freeport, ME, the weekend of April 20-22, 2012. Download a registration form and a schedule at www.quiltportusa.com. Camp Sew & Sew

Our friend Susan Pennoyer, designer for Common Thread Designs, and life-long sewer, has been hosting a group of learning sewers Tuesday mornings, 9:30-12:30 in our classroom. The group has a rolling enrollment and all levels of learners/stitchers are welcome. Small projects will be presented, or you may work on any sewing project of your choice. Help with all types of projects will be available.

Spring Into Summer

Shop Hop 2012

"Spring Into Summer" this June 1st, 2nd and 3rd when six of your favorite local quilt shops host the hop of the season! Starting April 1, purchase your passport for $7.50 at any participating shop and receive a special sign-up gift while supplies last. Next, grab your quilting friends and hit the road. Have your passport stamped at each shop and you'll be entered for over $4,000 in door prizes. You could win one of 6 (that's right, 6!) Janome Jem Gold sewing machines ($250 value each). You could also win a share of $450 in gift certificates to your favorite local quilt shops, a free private class for you and your friends, or one of many other prizes! Thread & Bread 

Join us the last Friday of each month from 6:00-9:00  to sew some threads and share some bread.  This is an informal potluck gathering to get together as quilters, share a meal, and work on whatever stitching project you would like.  Please call or e-mail to sign up and bring a dish to share. Space Available

Does your guild or group need a space to meet or sew? When the classroom is available, we will be willing to "rent" out the space to you by the hour.  You'll have the use of all the tables, chairs, ironing boards and irons, design walls and kitchen area.
