Fabric Donations for Catholic Charities of
Maine
Catholic Charities Refugee and Immigration
Services Dept. works with refugees who have been resettled in Portland
after living up to 15 years in a refugee camp. The goal of this agency
is to teach the refugee women how to be self-sufficient. These women
would like to be able to use their skills to support their families but
do not have the material resources. Catholic Charities is forming
a co-op where the women can sew bags which will be sold in local grocery
stores and boutiques. If you have unwanted fabric and would like to help
support this program, drop it off any time at Cotton Weeds and we will
make sure they receive it. We are pleased to support this program and
hope you will help. |
